Tony Newman, GuildfordWe need a properly integrated system serving people instead of private profit.
Elaine Hill, Newcastle-upon-TynePlease can we have a publicly- owned service. The improvement to East Coast since public ownership has demonstrated this approach can work.
Louise Bishop, YorkAll profits should be ploughed back into the railway, not people’s pockets.
Nigel Blake, YorkPrivatisation costs the taxpayer more than BR ever did and is corrupt and inefficient.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
