The shocking, politically-driven carve-up of the nation’s railways was a disgrace. It’s time the politicians climbed out of big-business’s pockets and did what is right.
British Rail just before privatisation was one of the most efficient railway operators in Europe.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
