We must have a public railway owned by all of us. It is ours and public ownership means a safer service.

We must have a public railway owned by all of us. It is ours and public ownership means a safer service.
Harry Wise, LondonIt is cheaper and more efficient to maintain a nationalised railway. All the evidence says so.
Sundeep Maini, LeicesterIt makes it very difficult to work in London whilst living in Leicester when train season tickets are so expensive.
Michael Hawkins, BarnsleyReturn what you have taken from us. Make the public aware that they themselves could make the decisions which control policy directives, therefore eradicating faults.
Sam Wynne, Poynton£8 to go 5 stops. That’s £160 a month to get to work for an £800 a month job.
Martin Mackay, RedditchI’m fed up with the privatised companies running trains for the shareholders. Public transport should be for the public not fat cats.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
