Anne Stephens, LancasterOh yes please, let’s return to the sanity of a nationalised rail system.
David Penney, ColneIt is clear from the experience on the East Coast Line that nationalisation works.
Nigel Miller, WallingtonActually, the railways secretly remained nationalised, in the sense that the government pays for them. But they makes us think they’re private, because they don’t run them anymore.
Roz Lucas, PenrynPut Michael Portillo in charge of British Rail. He must be independent of any political party, like the Queen.
Elaine Musker, King’s LynnIt’s a ludicrous system of ticket-pricing. It’s £10 cheaper for a return to Dartford than it is to London from King’s Lynn even though that is via London.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
