Frank Burgin, SheffieldWe used to complain about British Rail, but the expensive privatisation is a dog’s breakfast. Kill it dead and bring back proper public services.
Frank Clements, ManchesterPublic railways are cheaper to run and return more money to the government, and run on time.
Linda Peaker, WakefieldIn line with other countries, our rail network should be owned by us, not by foreigners. Who owns the rest of the EU’s rail network? They own their own, so should we.
Jan Ashworth, Stoke PogesI am fed up with the cost of travel and the constant excuses for late trains and cancellations. BR needs to come back.
Joseph Morris, LeedsWe need better control of our rail systems as we had before they were made private. Also more local railway stations.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
