David Thompson, LiverpoolRail is a natural monopoly and should be run as a true service for the people, never for profit.
Helen Field, SouthamptonIt’s absolute common sense. I’m going to share “Bring back British Rail” as far and wide as I possibly can.
Paul R, HorshamThe fragmentation of Britain’s railways has its roots in EU directive 91/440/EU used as a blueprint for the Major Government’s privatisation of Britain’s railways in 1994.
Valerie Hoodless, HullAny profits made by putting it in public hands could then be ploughed back into the rail system to provide a better service and not into private people’s pockets.
Roger Drury, ColefordPeople before profit.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
