What’s the point of a train service no one outside London can afford?
Chris Honeyman, ChelmsfordBring back BR and stop funding other countries’ state-run railways.
Brendan Smith, HarrogateWe now have the most expensive to use railway system in Europe, and integration with bus/express coach networks is generally deterred, unlike most European systems.
Simon Kirkham, High WycombeA railway system for the public and owned by the public.
Eirug Griffiths, PontardaweToo many passengers are being ripped off by hikes in rail fares which are sometimes above inflation and outdated rolling stock being used and not enough investment made.
Hannah BirkettI can barely afford to commute to work any more. The service is never on time and of appalling quality.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
