Re-integrate each franchise as it expires, starting with the well-run East Coast line.
The current system with several train companies for the same destination is overly complicated and expensive. Taking the train should not be as complex as flying.
Bring back British Rail is very important. Safety, cheaper rail fares are needed.
The French rail system is excellent, affordable, efficient.
John Major’s sell-off marked the end of any chance for a fully-integrated transport plan. The public pays more now, privatised, than when rail was in public hands.

The buses and trains need to be put back in public hands we at the moment subsidies them ever since the Tories sold them of so how can you tell me that they are private companys

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
