Our fragmented rail system does not work. Bring back a National Transport System.
It’s the only sensible way.
Privatisation was a huge mistake, just driven by political dogma. New Labour broke their promise to re-nationalise. But there is still hope! Good luck!
Major infrastructure that people need day-to-day, such as rail and utilities, should not be left to money-grabbing companies. They’re too important.
Privatisation is the worst thing to have happened. We have ever increasing fares (above inflation) and overcrowding. There’s profiteering beyond acceptable levels.

Privatizing has buggered up the electricity industry, the gas industry, the water industry and the waste disposal industry too. Some things should be considered a service and run to provide just that at an economic cost not a way of milking the end users.
