Andrew Mulligan, Hamilton, NZI fondly remember travelling on BR in the early 90’s, and I loved it. I live in New Zealand now, but bringing back British Rail is one reason I am coming home.
Julia Tanner, LeedsPublic transport is a public good and should be publicly owned, not run for profit.
Jennifer Duckitt, BradfordToo often the prices are too high and the quality of service too low. Bring back British Rail.
Mike Weaver, Newcastle-upon-TyneTotal support for this. I use the Northeast line a lot. Private sectors failed but it turns a good profit for the taxpayer now that government runs it.
Joe Smith, BrightonPrivatisation has been a train wreck. Get rid of all the greedy, self-serving management of each franchise skimming off millions from above inflation fare rises.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
