Bring back British Rail instead of this current appalling excuse for a rail system which is more about private profit than service.
Gavin Millar, LiverpoolThe railway network is a system to service the nation and ought not to be run in the piecemeal fashion of pre-war years. We see the same problems recurring now as then.
Brian Morgan, LutterworthIt’s time to reclaim the train.
Sean Willis, GrimsbyFragmentation does not improve services.
Frances Farrer, OxfordThe sham promise of efficiency has been exposed as just another way of profiting from public subsidy. The system is chaotic and unfair, and should be fixed properly.
Peter Roberts, EdinburghProfits should be re-invested in the business and not frittered away to shareholders (whilst accepting taxpayer subsidy). Nationalise and improve the service from within.

Bring Back British Rail is coordinated from Glasgow by Ellie Harrison, with the help of a small network of volunteers around the UK.
The campaign operates as a ‘non-charitable campaigning body’ and so is free to carry out political activity and act as a pressure group.
It aims to be a completely autonomous and transparent passenger-led organisation, which has no direct affiliation with any political parties.
